Terms & Conditions
Last updated: May 29, 2026 · Contact: mail@mytraveller.app
The short version. Traveller is a travel-planning app. Use it for personal trip planning. AI-generated suggestions (packing lists, itineraries, cultural tips) are guidance — always verify visas, laws, flights, and safety with official sources. Don't misuse the service. Paid plans are billed as shown at checkout. We can suspend accounts that break these rules. Either of us can end the relationship at any time.
1. Who we are
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Traveller mobile and web applications, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Roam Far Ltd ("Traveller", "we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 17192610) with its registered office at 2 Withy Park, Bishopston, Swansea, SA3 3EY, United Kingdom. Contact: mail@mytraveller.app.
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Traveller (16 in the European Economic Area, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly at mail@mytraveller.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We may require email verification, multi-factor authentication, or other checks to keep accounts secure.
5. Plans, billing & trials
Traveller offers a free tier and paid plans. Pricing, plan limits, and billing cadence are shown at checkout. By upgrading you authorise us (or our payment processor — Stripe or Paddle) to charge your chosen payment method. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Lifetime plans are a one-time charge granting access for as long as the Service operates. Taxes (VAT/GST/sales tax) may be added based on your billing location.
6. Refunds & cancellations
You may cancel a subscription at any time from the app; access continues until the end of the paid period. We offer refunds where required by law (including the EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers, unless you've already started using the digital service and waived this right at purchase). Lifetime plans may be refunded within 14 days of purchase if not substantially used. Email mail@mytraveller.app for refund requests.
7. Trip-edit and other plan limits
Free accounts are subject to limits described in the app, including a cap on edits per trip and on the total number of saved trips. We may adjust these limits with reasonable notice. Limits exist to keep the free tier sustainable; upgrading removes them.
8. AI-generated content — important
Traveller uses AI to generate packing lists, itineraries, cultural insights, translations, and similar suggestions. AI output can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. You must independently verify anything that affects your safety, money, or legal status — including but not limited to: visa and entry requirements, vaccination rules, customs restrictions, local laws, currency exchange rates, flight schedules, weather warnings, and emergency contact numbers. Traveller is not a substitute for official government sources, qualified medical advice, or licensed travel agents.
9. Translations & cultural insights
Phrase translations and cultural notes are provided for general orientation only and may not reflect regional dialects, current laws, or recent social changes. Use them as a starting point, not as legal or cultural authority.
10. Document Vault
The Document Vault stores files you choose to upload (e.g. passport scans, tickets, insurance). Files are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and protected by your account credentials and, where you enable it, biometric unlock. You are responsible for the contents you upload and for keeping your device secure. We cannot recover Vault contents if you lose access to your account and recovery factors.
11. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, or fraudulent; (b) upload content that infringes others' rights or contains malware; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service; (d) resell the Service or use it to build a competing product; (e) misuse AI features to generate disallowed content (hate, harassment, sexual content involving minors, instructions for violence, etc.); (f) impersonate others or misrepresent your identity; or (g) bypass rate limits, plan limits, or security controls.
Prohibited content. The Travel Journal and all other areas of the Service are intended for personal travel content only. You must not upload, store, or share:
- Nudity or sexually explicit imagery or text.
- Graphic violence, gore, or content depicting serious harm to people or animals.
- Content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits minors in any way.
- Any other content that is obscene, harassing, hateful, or otherwise unlawful.
This applies regardless of whether the content is uploaded as a photo, document, journal entry, or any other feature. Uploading prohibited content is grounds for immediate account suspension or permanent termination without notice or refund.
12. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create or upload (trips, journal entries, photos, documents, essentials lists, friend invites). You grant Traveller a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you. We do not sell your content and do not use it to train third-party AI models without your consent.
13. Friends, sharing & invitations
When you invite friends to a trip, you confirm you have the right to share their contact details with us for that purpose. Shared trip data becomes visible to invitees you add.
14. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties including Lovable Cloud (hosting and database), Lovable AI Gateway (AI providers such as Google and OpenAI), Stripe and Paddle (payments), Google and Apple (sign-in), REST Countries, and weather data providers. Their availability, accuracy, and terms are outside our control. Outages or changes by these providers may affect the Service.
15. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We'll give reasonable notice of material changes that negatively affect paid users.
16. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your account poses a security or legal risk, or if required by law. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data is removed in line with our Privacy Policy retention schedule.
Certain breaches — including uploading nudity, sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or any content that sexualises or endangers minors — will result in immediate permanent termination of your account without prior warning, without refund, and may be referred to law-enforcement authorities where required.
17. Intellectual property
Traveller, the Traveller name, logo, illustrations, and the underlying software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right in our branding beyond using the Service as intended.
18. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that AI suggestions, translations, weather data, or third-party information are accurate, current, or suitable for your trip. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded (e.g. consumer rights, gross negligence, or death and personal injury caused by negligence).
19. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Traveller and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 50.
20. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Traveller harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your breach of these Terms.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service, the law, or our practices. We'll post the new version with an updated "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
22. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Ireland, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings locally. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
