Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 05, 2026 · Contact: mail@mytraveller.app

The short version. Traveller uses a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the app is used. We don't use advertising trackers, and we don't sell your data. You can change your choices any time.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and pixels — work in comparable ways. In this policy we use the word "cookies" to cover all of these.

2. How Traveller uses cookies

We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. We do not run third-party advertising trackers and we do not share your browsing behaviour with ad networks.

The cookies we do set fall into three categories:

  • Strictly necessary — required for the app to work (sign-in sessions, security, load balancing).
  • Preferences — remember your language, theme, and other choices.
  • Analytics — privacy-preserving, aggregated usage statistics that help us improve the product.

3. Cookies we set

Strictly necessary

  • sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token — keep you signed in. Set by Lovable Cloud (Supabase). Expires when the session ends or after 30 days.
  • cf_clearance — bot and abuse protection from our edge provider. Expires after 30 days.

Preferences (local storage)

  • i18nextLng — your chosen language. Stored locally in your browser.
  • traveller-theme — light or dark mode preference.
  • traveller-cookie-consent — remembers your choice on this banner so we don't ask again.

Analytics

  • Aggregated, anonymous page-view and feature-usage events. No cross-site tracking, no advertising identifiers, no fingerprinting.

4. Third-party cookies

A few partners may set cookies when you actively use a feature that depends on them:

  • Stripe / Paddle — only when you open the checkout flow, for fraud prevention and to complete your payment.
  • Google / Apple — only when you choose social sign-in, to authenticate you.

These cookies are governed by the respective providers' privacy policies.

5. Managing your cookie choices

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Use our in-app cookie banner to accept or reject non-essential cookies.
  • Clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser or device settings.
  • Use your browser's "Do Not Track" or private browsing modes — Traveller respects DNT for analytics where technically possible.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled because the app would stop working without them (you couldn't stay signed in, for example).

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document always reflects the current version. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice.
